I have also copied all the relevant information to put on this blog post:

Name Alexander Reeve
Pathway UAL Radio, Print and TV Level 3 Year One
Project Title Christie Bellini Music Video’s
Section 1: Rationale (Approx. 100 words)
My idea is to create a music video featuring a rapper Christie Bellini. Through my course I have learned a rage of camera skills and techniques that will help me plan, film and edit the music video. The genre of the music video will be rap / beat box. This project is important as it will help to promote my friend and his music to a wider audience.
Section 2: Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
My project will be in form of a music video. I will use my filming and editing skills to execute this project. My main influences are ‘Stormzy’ and ‘Reggie Watts’ and I would like to create a similar style of music video as theirs. The music genre my video will be rap / beat box. For this reason I will research existing music videos in the similar style to find out what are the common codes and conventions between them. This is important as I will target my video at the same target audience and will need to present my artist as a rapper and beat boxer.

My main target audience for this video is mostly male 16-25 year olds, mostly around urban areas and cities as that is where most of the artists are from and rap about. My role in this a project will be most roles of a production from original concept to editing the final video. The technical requirements for my video will be covered by the college rescores that I can borrow.

Section 3: Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I will use the progress tracker to keep my work on track and set reasonable targets. I will also take my clients opinion under consideration, while also using my peers for feedback as I don’t have as much experience with this genre of music. I will also have regular one to one tutorials with my tutor and I will ensure all my work is uploaded to my blog so I have easy access and it saved in more than one place.

Research:

I have done some research and my main target audience for my music video is mostly male 16-25 year olds, mostly around urban areas and cities as that is where most of the artists are from and rap about. I have some examples, one by Stormzy, a rapper and one by Reggie Watts a beat-boxer because I want to show off all Christie’s skills by practicing making a music video before I make the final submitted work.

I also did some research on how to create and edit the video. I found a YouTube video and book all about the making of music videos. The book is a bit old and uses an older version of Adobe Premiere but I can still adapt it’s teachings to make it apply for my video. The YouTube video is a lot more relevant as it is more up to date and the creator of the video is editing a similar style of video to my planned video.
